About
Professional Spotswood Partners was founded by Francis Parish in 2006. The firm provides strategic insight, financial analysis and rigorous execution to private equity firms as well as private and public companies. Mr. Parish has more than 20 years’ experience in analyzing or providing advice to a wide variety of business and trading strategies, companies and industries.

Mr. Parish was previously a Managing Director of Pacific Capital Group. a privately-owned merchant bank in Beverly Hills with investment expertise in a range of industries, including new technologies, material sciences, financial services, real estate, telecommunications, health care and asset management. Creating new ventures with the firm’s partners since 2000, he evaluated, structured and implemented direct private equity investments and asset management vehicles until late 2010. He also provided board level oversight for a portfolio of direct investments. During his tenure, Mr. Parish also served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for a technology start-up and as a Director of Corporate Development for a public telecom company, two of Pacific Capital’s portfolio enterprises.

Prior to his activities in private equity/venture capital he was in strategic management consulting with Marakon Associates, and handled corporate transactions and other financial advisory functions at KPMG Peat Marwick and at Ernst & Young.

Education Mr. Parish received an MBA from The Wharton Business School and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Business from the University of Southern California. He began his university studies by studying Economics at the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands. He is also fluent in Dutch and German.
Personal Francis grew up in England and the Netherlands and met his wife on the beach in California after working and travelling through Europe, Africa & North America. He decided to make Los Angeles his home while studying at the University of Amsterdam. When Francis is not working with clients he can be seen hiking and camping around the South West with his wife, 2 sons and 2 dogs. In the recent past they completed the “Death Hike” in Death Valley and camped in remote parts of Big Sur. He is an avid epee fencer and competed in the Philadelphia Frostbite and Head of the Charles crew events while at business school. Beach volleyball has become a recent activity he is enjoying with his sons.
